A lot of you have been asking, so we wanted to say it clearly: yes! come. We’re here. We’re open.

Here’s a spa ritual that we recommend:

Begin with a good shower. Really let the water clear this last year off of you.

Then, head into the steam sauna. Let the heat and the mist meet you. Sit with whatever comes up. Practice staying present.

Shower again—rinse off that first release, the stuff that was just beneath your skin.

Now for the dry cedar sauna. Set the sand timer for 15 minutes and let yourself sink into the heat. And try to just be there. Right where you are meant to be.

Shower. Rinse and repeat. In fact do it as many times as you need.

An hour of heat ritual is $30 for one person, $50 if you’re bringing someone.

We have clean filtered water, towels, wraps. You don’t need to bring anything.

This is a community space, so sometimes there will be others with you. That’s part of it. We’re taking care of ourselves together. When one of us heals, it ripples out.

Think about what could shift if we all believed that our own peace mattered that much this coming year.

Sometimes stress, traumas, and life can stifle the communication between mind and body. We will identify patterns, blocks, and strategize ways to embrace and expand your strengths. I utilize various experiential therapies to cater to the individual.

I hold a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Mental Health Clinical Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. I am also trained and certified in Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy by The Wellness Institute.

Join Collins Hohne, LMT as she launches regular gatherings where we explore what it feels like to engage in social, interpersonal healthcare. Where we learn and study the far reaching effects of healthy touch, movement, nutrition, and self-massage techniques for optimizing lymphatic health.

We will discover best practices for utilizing lymphatic self care tools, such as gua sha, cups, dry brushing, kinetic taping, scalp massagers, loofa, castor oil, warm towels, and hydrotherapy.

After two failed IVF cycles, a client came to me exhausted. Not just from the procedures, but from the weight of disappointment.

“I don’t know what’s wrong with my body,” she whispered during our first session—tears in both of our eyes.

Beltane celebrates life’s exuberant fertility: the moment when spring’s promise erupts into summer’s fullness. It honors the untamed joy of existence and our deep connection to natural cycles.

May Day commemorates generations of laborers who fought for dignity, fair wages, and the radical notion that those who create value should share in its rewards.

When we build systems of cooperative economics, we’re weaving together this wisdom—like the maypole’s ribbons.

Today I am reminded of Dr. King’s final days standing with Memphis sanitation workers as they proclaimed “I AM A MAN”—a demand for dignity that transcended both labor and civil rights. Just before his assassination, King spoke at Clayborn Temple Church, recognizing that economic justice and racial justice cannot be separated.

Our hearts break with the news of the devastating fire that recently struck this historic sanctuary. We stand in solidarity with the Memphis community and with labor and civil rights activists across the globe who grieve the loss of this sacred monument to justice.

Just as the sanitation workers’ struggle didn’t end with a single victory, our commitment to restore and honor such vital spaces of our movement’s history must continue.

Dr. King’s vision reminds us that colonial white supremacist capitalism has always sought to divide exploited peoples along racial lines—stoking fires of hatred to prevent us from recognizing our common struggle.

When we build cooperative systems across ALL communities, we reject this division and embrace the solidarity that threatens systems of oppression most: our collective wellbeing.

What would work look like if it were as joyful as a Beltane dance? What would celebration look like if it nourished everyone equally?

May this day inspire us to create economies as abundant as spring itself—where everyone has enough, where labor is honored, and where our wild spirits can truly flourish.

All modalities of health are, in their own way, exploring the nature and reality of wellness—of reality itself.

When I’m asked, “Do you do deep tissue?”
I question how to best answer.

What I want to give certainty to, is that I will 1000% do what it takes to address muscle tension, pain and discomfort.

But, why are we so convinced that someone needs to hurt us to help us?

The truth is, the muscles are already in pain. They’re literally crying out for help! Why would I come in and hurt them more?

That knot in your shoulder doesn’t need to be beaten into submission.

We’ve all been fed this story that massage has to hurt to “work.” But when I press too hard, the reality is that your body just fights back harder.

“But if the massage doesn’t hurt, is it even doing anything?”

YES. It’s doing EVERYTHING.

When your body isn’t busy protecting itself from pain, it can actually focus on restoring the underlying causes of the discomfort—which is often associated with an underlying unconscious pattern.

I say—what if instead we get you so damn relaxed that your nervous system finally stops its death grip on those tissues?

Today is National Lymphedema Awareness Day, and I want to share with y’all some early signs that there may be congestion in your lymphatic system.

Untreated Lymphedema can be compounding, and so early detection of lymphatic blockage is helpful in slowing or stopping the progression of later stages of Lymphedema.

First, I want to say that the current treatment for lymphedema is a combination protocol called Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), which Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is one part of.

Also included are compression bandaging, compression garment fittings, skin care, and dynamic movement.

Some Risk Factors for Lymphedema:

- Cancer and its treatments (surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy)

- Chronic venous insufficiency
Heart conditions

- Infections (e.g., cellulitis)

- Lymphatic filariasis (DO NOT look this up unless you are curious about parasites)

- Surgical Procedures (any surgical procedure will affect the integrity of the lymphatic system….read that again)

-Lymph node removal (e.g., breast cancer surgery)

-Trauma to lymphatic vessels (Some lymphatic “self care” techniques that I see on the internet are actually traumatic to the lymphatic system. It’s important to note who you are taking lymphatic advice from :)

We will gather bi-weekly—SUNDAYS 4-5:30pm—to learn about the science behind lymphatic processing, and how to best incorporate lymphatic self-care into your everyday routine for optimal health.
