Most people come to me after they've done the work. They have insights but are still stuck.
Hypnosis goes somewhere different. In a session, clients often say it felt like they were on another plane. That they are present, aware, and somewhere deeper. Time collapses. Then a few days later, I get the text: "I have to tell you all the changes that have happened! It worked."
I've been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 15 years and I’ve practiced clinical hypnotherapy for more than 12. What I bring that most hypnotists don't is a decade and a half of clinical intuition. It’s the ability to flow with what's happening beneath the surface and get out of the way so the real work can happen.

About Melisse
I Came Into Hypnosis as a Client and a Therapist
I didn't arrive at hypnotherapy through my Grad School.
I came through my own experience. Multiple diagnoses and medications that weren't working. A habit I couldn't stop no matter how much I understood it. I was pulling out my eyebrows, and nothing touched it. One session of hypnosis. It stopped.
At the same time, I was a new therapist trained in EMDR. And I kept running into something that bothered me: sometimes it worked beautifully. Other times, nothing. I'm solution focused by nature. I don't do well with "sometimes." I wanted to know why rapid change happened for some people and not others.
Hypnosis answered that question for me. I took a weekend workshop. Then another. It became a deep interest, then a specialty, then my whole life, but now the center of my practice.
Then something unexpected happened. People started asking me to teach them. Specifically, to teach them how I do it. I had clients and colleagues saying: whatever you're doing, it's different from other hypnosis I've experienced. It took a while for my clinical brain to understand what that was. I work with energy. I didn't have language for it at the time, but I do now. And it's become the foundation of the training I lead.
I'm a co-founder of Watershed Wellness Cooperative in Madison, TN. It was important to me that the therapy world shifts to having an integration area after deep work, that we look at the whole body and also end the exploitation of wellness worker. I see clients in person there. I also work with clients worldwide via online sessions and travel to meet people where they are. My work spans complex trauma, chronic physical symptoms, habit change, spiritual exploration, and past life regression.
I lead international hypnotherapy certification trainings in Mexico twice a year and supervise a Friday morning group for pre-licensed therapists at Watershed.
I travel twice a year to continue my own education. I'm a student of the Toltec way. I want to go to China to study Wing Chun. My life goal is to punch out a candle simply by moving only the air around it.
I believe in things most people can't explain yet. And I've watched enough unexplainable things happen in sessions to know that "not yet explained" is not the same as "not real."
After you've tried everything else, hypnosis is where it all comes together.

READ: "Surgeon on the Edge" by, Frances Mei Hardin, MD

Frances Mei Hardin is a former ENT surgeon whose memoir Surgeon on the Edge is built around the hypnosis sessions she pursued while still practicing as an attending.
A physician and skeptic by training and someone not easily convinced. Her transformation is in a nationally published book. And it centers on this work. If you want to know what a session with me actually feels like from the inside order the book

01
We Connect
Before anything else, we get clear on what you want. What does working actually look like for you?
We'll also decide together how we work. Some sessions are conversational, back and forth, following what surfaces. Others use a script with specific suggestions. The right approach depends on you, your goal, and what emerges in that first conversation.
If it's a 60 minute session, we may spend the whole time here.
03
The Magic Happens
We go wherever we need to go.
That's not as mysterious as it sounds. We don't go digging around in old traumatic memories looking for something to fix. We might visit a spicy memory or we might not. We might go to the root of the pattern, or we might go somewhere completely unexpected that turns out to be exactly right.
What we're changing is the story beneath the story. The one your nervous system has been running without asking your permission. When that story shifts, and it does shift, the pattern above it shifts with it.
You won't have to understand it for it to work. That's the point.
02
You Enter a Liminal Space
I guide you into a deeply focused but released state. Awake. Aware. Completely in control, just more open than usual.
Clients describe it different ways. Some say it feels like a parallel plane to their everyday mind. Others say it's the deepest rest they've had in years. A few say it felt like psychedelics, except they can drive afterwards.
You don't go under.
You don't lose yourself.
You go in.
04
You Shift
You leave clearer and lighter. The change hits immediately, before you've even stood up. Then it continues to move in quietly over the days that follow, and you only notice it when you think about the old pattern and it isn't there anymore.
Either way, the text usually comes.
" Is this real life? It worked."

Past Life Regression
$725 · Signature Session · 2–4 Hours
Time works different in this realm.
Some people arrive with a specific question. Others arrive simply called to it, without being able to explain why. Both are exactly the right reason.
In a past life regression with me, you're guided into a deep hypnotic state and invited to follow what surfaces. Whether you interpret the experience literally or as a rich map of your subconscious, what emerges is always meaningful. There will be answers to questions you've been carrying your whole life.
Clients travel from across the globe for this experience. It is my most sought after work and the most difficult to describe until you've experienced it.

Smoking Cessation
Most programs ask for $2,500 to $3,500 before you've quit a single cigarette.
I ask for it after, because I'm that certain in the work.
You've probably tried to quit before.
Maybe more than once. You know why you smoke. You've used the patches, the gum, the apps, the willpower. And you're still smoking…..not because you're weak, but because the habit doesn't respond to logic or effort.
That's exactly where hypnosis works.
In a session with me, we go directly to where the habit lives. Beneath the cravings, beneath the reasoning, beneath the version of yourself that reaches for a cigarette before you've even decided to.
Here's what most people don't know: smoking is often the last identity holding on. One final rebellion. One remaining vice that is entirely yours. Your conscious mind wants to quit. But part of you isn't ready to let that go yet.
That's the part we work with.
Clients walk in with a giant craving. They leave without one.
Here's how I structure the
"Pay After the Results"
You pay for your session.
Just my time, my 15+ years of clinical training. That's it upfront. Then you go live your life.
At 30 days I check in. No invoice, no pressure. Just how are you feeling, what's different?
When you're nicotine free and you feel the value of that, in your lungs, your mornings, your self esteem, your bank account…. you pay what that's worth to you.
Most people pay between $1,500 and $2,000. Some pay more. If money is genuinely a barrier, a testimonial or a referral means just as much.

Most practitioners charge $2,500 to $3,500 for a package.
I charge after, because I already know what's going to happen.
If you've had pain that nothing has touched, you already know something medicine often doesn't say out loud:
Some pain doesn't live where medicine looks for it.
I work at the level where chronic pain actually originates. Using clinical hypnotherapy and parts work, we access what's beneath the symptom, not to manage it, but to change it at the source.
A client came to me with head pain from a gunshot wound that had been there for 16 years. Nothing had touched it. One session. It was gone.
I share that not as a promise because every person is different. I share it as evidence of what I've witnessed, more than once, in more than one form. Chronic gut issues. Back pain where the client didn’t think they would ever get off opiates. Old injuries. Pain that outlived its cause by decades.
You don't have to believe it's possible. You just have to be willing to find out.
Here's the Structure:
You pay for your session upfront, my time, my clinical training, my years of obsessing over hypnotherapy.
At 30 days I check in. No invoice, no pressure. You pay what the result was worth. Whatever is honest.

Join our 6-day immersive certification — Mexico, October 22–27, 2026
This training is not a course. It's a transformation.
Over six immersive days, you'll develop the technical skills, clinical confidence, and internationally recognized certification to practice hypnotherapy. You will be able to hypnotize your very first client after the training ends. But that's not what makes this different.
Most hypnotherapy trainings teach you a method. You leave with scripts, protocols, a certificate, and someone else's way of working. This training does something else: it develops your way. Every participant leaves having discovered their own intuitive gifts and their own specific style. You don't learn to do hypnosis the way Melisse does it. You develop the way you do it, with the technical foundation to back it up.
No scripts to read. No guided meditation. No cookie-cutter protocol. You learn to develop the script for your client. The real thing.
This training is designed for:
•Mental health clinicians wanting to add hypnosis to their clinical toolkit
•Coaches and healers ready to go deeper with clients•Complete beginners who feel genuinely called to this work

Clinical Supervision with Melisse Prusinski:
This is not standard case review supervision. We do that, the clinical hours, the ethical considerations, the cases that are keeping you up at night and navigating the Tennessee Laws and healthboard. But we also go further. We develop the deeper skills most supervision groups never touch: your intuition as a clinician, your shadow side as a therapist, business development, and the places where clinical rigor meets something harder to name. The clinical with a little woo.If you're a pre-licensed therapist looking for an AAMFT Approved Supervisor who takes both sides of that seriously then this group may be exactly what you've been looking for.Limited to 6 participants each week. If we have more than 6 show up, the last person logged in, is the one to opt out for that week.[Contact Missy to inquire →]Individual Supervision — $150/hour Two hours monthly minimum commitment required. For therapists who have any desire to practice the way I practice. If you want focused one on one supervision tailored entirely to where you are and where you're going. Same depth. Your cases, your questions, your development.
